Our Initiatives

At CHAMP, we believe in taking direct action to address healthcare disparities and support the well-being of marginalized communities. Our initiatives are driven by the needs of the communities we serve and are executed in collaboration with our partners. Here are some of our key projects.

The Summer Kit Initiative

This initiative was designed to provide essential items that promote health and dignity during the summer months. In partnership with addiction clinics across British Columbia and Ontario, we assembled and distributed 1,000 summer kits. Each kit was thoughtfully curated to include items that address immediate needs and support personal care.

Impact: This project provided individuals with practical tools to manage their health and hygiene. The kits were distributed directly to clients at partner clinics, helping to build trust and strengthen the connection between community members and vital healthcare resources.

Community Food Drive

Access to nutritious food is a fundamental component of health. Our food drive was organized to provide essential food items to clients of an addiction clinic in Toronto, helping to alleviate food insecurity and support their overall health journey.

Impact: The food drive provided a direct form of support, ensuring that clients had access to nourishment. This initiative is part of our broader effort to address the social determinants of health and provide holistic support that goes beyond clinical care.
